Soft re-opening announcement! Starting this Thursday, 5/28, you will again be able to shop with us IN PERSON. While this is very exciting, we want to be super up front about what this phase looks like. Our overall approach is to treat this as a trial run so we can safely and confidently pave the best way forward into this uncharted territory. We're so eager to see you all again and we want to make sure it happens in the best way possible for everyone.⁠ To begin, we'll be open from 1-6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. We highly encourage pre-booking a shopping appointment via our website. You can also come by without an appt, but you may have to wait if we're at capacity. ⁠ When booking appointments, we have 1-hour time slots available that can be booked as private solos, private groups or public group “appointments”. ⁠ To book a shopping appointment with us, please click the bio link.⁠ We'll be limiting the number of guests in the shop to 5 people. Everyone will be asked to wear a mask while in the store. We'll provide hand sanitizer at the entrance and will ask all guests to use it prior to entry. We'll have arrows on the floor marking one-way traffic flow, as well as signage at the checkout area to keep payment as touch-free as possible. ⁠ Our staff will be masked and regularly cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces to make sure everyone is safe. ⁠ As always, thank YOU so much for your support and love. Though a little on the fussy side for beginners, Radermachera Sinica (China Doll) makes a lovely houseplant. It's very important to be sure you have the right conditions before bringing one home. I know I was a little frustrated with my first try, but once I found the perfect spot it thrived. It needs a lot of bright, indirect sunlight and is happiest in warmer temperatures away from a chilly draft. Be sure not to overwater this one as it is very prone to root-rot if your pot is not well drained. Once you find its happy place leave it there as it doesn't like to be moved or transplanted. You can do i!

Our little plant corner is looking pretty fresh this morning. ⠀ ☘️⠀

I remember growing up as a little girl in Iowa my parents had a plaque hanging on the wall of their office depicting a proud farmer on cart full of produce and a woman behind him pushing the cart. The caption was “Behind every successful man is a hard working woman”. I remember thinking, “Why is he riding in top of the cart and she’s doing all the work? Why isn’t he helping her? Why is he taking all the credit?” Something didn’t sit well with me then and it still doesn’t, but I’m happy to see things are changing. Here’s to all you hard working, amazingly kind, wicked smart, super talented, incredibly wise women I know in the world. Happy International Women’s Day!!
